Importance of Information Technology to Society



               As the world advances in the realm of science and technology, the importance of Information  to society carve out a big role in this revolution. It has been said that the combination of computers and other high technologies is a natural breakthrough. It encroaches to the different areas of our lives and making us more gratified in all what we need and want. Faster data management, instant connection of different people around the globe, excellent decision making and ecstatic computer games are just few of the leads of information technology. Statistics proves that IT outgrowths continually soaring to the crest and becoming relentless. With the use of multiform programming, computer networking and hardware integration which are done by the experts, technologies become better complex. As the result, most of the people in the world largely depend on these scientific innovations.

           Information Technology has been utilized by different disciplines such as education, politics, economy, management and etc. Many institutions nowadays go beyond from traditional methods of teaching. Electronic learning has been practiced by different levels of education internationally where students could have the access to teaching materials. IT has been adopted also in politics especially in decision making. E- Commerce and online job application are the common benefits it could bring to field of economics. Because IT saves time and effort, economic advancement is also accelerating. Many managers, supervisors and employees are able to finish their tasks prior to the deadlines because of its proficiency in multi tasking jobs.

            Information Technology allows all people to acquire massive information through their fingertips, thus; it increases their level of cognizance and decreases biased judgment. Further, the impact of computer drastically changes lives from easy to easier. It shapes the society into more automated advance that requires less or no human intervention at all which minimizes stress, especially in the work place, and eliminate repetition of tasks, information deficiency and human risks due to negligence. Moreover, from the emergence of social networking sites and online gaming, the level of enjoyment of the people increases. Through these computer features, the world evolves closer together. They create a global village and allowing different countries around the globe to share information with each other thus, bridging the cultural gap.

            On the other note, IT does not only embrace the positive outputs. The sense of pressure is always present in every development. Hacking and cracking of confidential accounts are very common nowadays. Many people are encouraged to cheat using these gadgets. Human trafficking, fraud and defamation are becoming widespread which is definitely too far from over.

            Moreover, these drawbacks of Information Technology only mean that its pace requires proper control and direction of human in order to keep it excelling.
